One of the unique aspects of the military is that one person’s bright idea can have such a big impact on so many others. For example, the “powers that be” here decided that because under cooked eggs can cause salmonella; they are no longer allowed to serve eggs to order. So now our only choices are a ready to cook egg mixture or hard boiled eggs. Of course, there hasn’t been a single case of salmonella reported. But it seemed like a good idea to someone.
