Another day starting

This picture sums up what it “feels” like over here. Everywhere youlook there are concrete barriers, gravel barbed wire. Everyting is covered in a fine coating of dust. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that it is depressing, but the blandness of it all isn’t very uplifing. In Baghdad, a locan man decided he didn’t like the way things looked either, so he started painting murials on some of the barriers. No one told him to do it, he just wanted to make his little piece of the world better. I think he one of the Iarqis that “gets it” and it gives me some hope.
